MediaPeruana Designs patterns are usually on the more conservative side when it comes to color and style, but occasionally I like to play with a bolder idea. And here's the result: Ondulado, a bright, 2-color crescent shawl to liven up your spring!
Ondulado uses slipped stitch stripes and a modified feather and fan stitch pattern to create an all-over wave motif. It's worked from the top down, and blocks out to approximately 82" tip-to-tip and 15.5" deep. It's a great light layer for spring, and is large enough to double up and use as a scarf in colder weather.
Trading Post has little pops of the Marine color worked in, so they pair up beautifully. Of course, Alice has tons of other gorgeous bright colorways--here are a few more color combos I love:
And yes, Backyard Fiberworks, a Maryland dyer from Silver Spring, will be vending at MDSW again this year, in the Main Exhibition hall, if you want to grab some of this beautiful yarn for your own shawl!
You can find Ondulado on Ravelry here for $6.
